The Truth or Dare perfume (what kind of stupid name is that for a perfume anyways?) was not successful.
SALES
Initially, the perfume and it's products were to be sold at stores such as Macy's.
Except, somehow the perfume that would be "sold exclusively at Macy's" ended up on Walmart shelves for $24.94.
I wished her fans knew how to read. They claim that she earned $60 million from perfume sales but those were predictions. Take a look:
Madonna's 2012 Income: Pop Star's Empire Poised To Earn $500 Million:
Every source I read is based off of a prediction. There are no official numbers.
Her website even continues to say this, even though it appears Macy's no longer sells it.
If this isn't enough, let's look at the Amazon page for the perfume:
2.5 oz ~ 73.93 ml
1.7 oz ~ 50.27 ml
So roughly, the list prices are the same as in the Macy's stores. Considering this perfume is 2 years old, it makes sense that it's price decreases and that it's sold for a cheaper price online.
REVIEWS
But now let's look at the reviews:
Apparently the perfume is T"for women from 25 to 45, with the group of 35-45 as the primary aim." But this video mainly shows male fans.
cameron1010: I don't think that it would matter if Madonna covered up her nasty body odor with the perfume since a lot of people seem to think it's bad.
Fragantica: Rating: 3.1/5
Amazon:

RJ Williams: "M" logo rip-off?

Madonna isn't called a "Material Girl" for nothing. Here's a breakdown of what she's poised to pocket in 2012 -- it could be as much as $500 million in one year alone.
- $300 million from her MDNA World Tour. Live Nation announced $240 Million in ticket sales before a South American leg was added, which could earn an additional $40 million-plus. An Australian leg of the tour is being announced shortly.
- Industry insiders say $75 million in tour merchandise sales is not unlikely. This has always been a huge moneymaker for Madonna, who will have an even bigger spread of merchandise available at her upcoming shows.
- $60 million is expected in sales for her new perfume, Truth or Dare, according to Women's Wear Daily.

It's true. Made me throw up. For reals.
Now, I'm not dissing it, this is just how my body reacted.

Yeah, it made me queasy too, it was frighteningly strong and it smelled like cheese.
Another thing, as others have said is the fact that it's way too heavy on the white florals.
My husband hates it
It was too much banana laffy taffy for me. That said, in the land of cake and fruit, it just didn't hit the boat.
I really thought I would love this...but on first whiff it was very heavy kind of vintage smelling...
I tried it in the store and really enjoyed it, got it and now I can´t wear it! I am sad, though, because I am ALL for a bit of skank, but I cannot walk around with a head ache and also I feel somewhat unclean in it and skankiness does NOT have to mean that
I have been a fan of Madonna's sinse the 80's and was so excited she finally made a perfume. And how disappointed I was. Not only did I not like it, I hate it! Smells like bad perfume on top of SWEAT! Gross.
Amazon:
I expected better. This stuff smells so cheap. A few whiffs make you feel like you've been smothered with gardenias. Reminds me of the uber-cheap Gloria Vanderbilt perfume sets from the 80s.
to me this was very strong perfume, It will remind you of your grandmother, not for me. The scent also lasts very long and have me a headache.
Well, it smelled like a Grandma, I was very shocked. It has a beautiful bottle, but the contents are just not good. I was expecting something a little lighter and less cheap, if you will. I mean for the price I am not expecting No. 5 or anything, but this was just, gross. I had my GAY best friend with me and we both hated it. SO it goes to prove that just because someone is gay will not mean they automatically love it. If you ever walk past a really old woman and notice her perfume, well this is exactly what this smells like.
Overpowering!! Smells like something an old lady would wear!! Very disappointed!! Too too much floral! Made me nauseous!
Expected better from Madonna.
Expected better from Madonna.
I am not a fragrance snob, but I do not like "cheap" "musty" or " old lady" ...... This has an overwhelming gardenia or even worse "Jungle Gardenia" smell to it, like maybe there was a batch left over from the 70's and they re bottled it under Madonna's name?
Another flop in the celeb perfume arena. The bottle is cool and I love Madonna as a performer. The smell is strong and cheap. I hate it because it's way too flowery and overpriced.
