A Madonna fan (retrocub) made some very interesting claims. Such as:
They were. Media accused Madonna of stealing Marilyn Monroe's style and they heavily compared her to Cyndi Lauper.

If she wasn't the first to use religious imagery, then why make a big deal about Gaga "copying" Madonna over that. How do we know that Gaga wasn't inspired by a different artist who used religious imagery?
And who cares who has praised her. Many have also dissed her (Musicians who dissed McDonna thread).

Madonna was one of the first mainstream artists to take total control of her career. She was one of the first MAINSTREAM artists to insist on AIDS awareness and gay equality. She was one of the first to say that women artists could also be sexual, without being a whore. She was a trailblazer, mixing synth pop with New Wave and revolutionizing pop music and music video. You could google all this shit yourself, moron and see for yourself. If you don't know what contributions Madonna has made to art and pop, then you are hopelessly stupid. What has Gaga done first then, fuckwad?

Madonna PARODIED Marilyn Monroe, and many other icons, but her original look was completely original.
Madonna played to over 6 million people in concert- over 3 million of those alone were in 2012! Madonna is now the most successful solo touring act of all time, and the most successful female recording artist in history. Us Madonna fans have plenty of life, thanks. What a fucking stupid thing to say. Seems YOU have no life, as you are sitting around hating on a popstar you will never meet in your life. Loser.
