Thank you Mr. Morgan!

Madonna, to me, is the biggest phoney in showbusiness
Madonna and I, as regular readers of this column will know, have never seen eye to eye. It goes back to when I once wrote a front-page review for The Sun of one of her concerts in the 1990s, which appeared under the headline ‘THE WORST GIG I HAVE EVER WATCHED’.
My opinion of her as a human being falls to an even lower level of appreciation.
Madonna, to me, is the biggest phoney in show-business – a ruthlessly cynical commercial machine prepared to stoop below just about any bar of ludicrous behaviour if it’ll enhance her brand or flog a few more albums.
Hence the endless toy boys, the cloud-cuckoo Kabbalah, the compulsory nudity, the foul-mouthed stage antics, the fake English accent, the grotesquely over-muscled arms, the se.x book, the… oh, you get the point.
But in recent months, she’s excelled herself.
Mother-of-four Madonna, 54, deliberately exposed her breast at a show in Turkey, waved her naked backside at an audience in Italy, was warned by Instagram to stop posting titillating photos of herself, pretended to shoot people with fake guns in Colorado – scene of the Aurora movie massacre last year – and displayed a N-zi swastika on stage in Paris.
Today, she arrived in the South of France sporting a diamond-and-gold tooth grill, cackling dementedly as she clutched the arm of her latest 25-year-old lover, Brahim Zaibat.
A woman old enough to be a grandmother desperately clinging on to her ‘edgy’ youth by trying to stay ‘down with the kids’.
It was the single most toe-curling celebrity image of the millennium so far.
Madonna, for the love of God, STOP. It’s over.

He gets it. Madonna never was about "making a statement". She always did something (whether controversial or not) to get attention and have her name in the papers. Doing so, makes people think she's edgy, and anyone who falls for her crap is likely to buy her albums.
And for people who say that telling her to retire is sexist/ageist, no, that is not the case at all. I am not against having female (or male) entertainers making music until they're 80/90 years old. I'm glad that we have had female entertainers who continue to release new material. I'm glad that Cher will release a dance-ready album this year. I'm glad that Cyndi Lauper may come out with new music sometime next year. I'm excited to see what Kylie has in store as she nears 30 years in the industry.
The reason I basically call out Madonna for being a "has-been"/tell her to retire, is because she is basically repeating herself to the point that it becomes obvious that she is crying out for attention. Not to mention that she continues to rip-off multiple artists and being rude to multiple people.
Cyndi Lauper may be repeating herself by going on a tour to promote her first album from the 80's, but she's not doing cheap things to draw attention to herself. She is playing the music that she wants and she still gets a decent amount of articles about her tours, without having to take off her clothes.
Same with Kylie. She changes the music direction and her look for each of her albums. But she hasn't exposed her nip-le to get people to talk about her.
What was the point of Madonna flashing her nip-le on stage anyways? To make a general statement about feminism?
Nope. She did it because she wanted to attract attention to the MDNA Tour. When I first read that she was doing that, I rolled my eyes. It's not as if she hadn't flashed parts of her body before. Yet her fans and media made a big deal about it, as if it was something that they had never seen before.
Yeah right.
