“Posh Life" is a song written by Dallas Austin and Lady Gaga during their FARTPOOP sessions together. There isn’t a lot to say about it, except that it’s bad. No wonder why they passed on the song to TLC - whose new album comes out on October 15th.
If that’s the direction they’re going with their collaboration, you can expect more 90s inspired songs by Lady Gaga. Nothing new again. Which is somewhat surprising to me, because I heard she was going for an urban sound à la Azealia Banks. So I was expecting Lady Gaga copying another “era" of music.
Oh, well… different era, different sound. What never changes is the fact that she’ll be copying someone.
Tidbits
Lady Gaga’s singing toothbrush is on the clearance rack on Walgreens around Orlando, FL.
It’s only $4,99 now, y’all! And it sings two songs while you brush your teeth.
In all honesty, this might be the first time I give props to Lady Gaga, because she really can stand behind this product.
You see, Lady Gaga knows from experience how to keep singing while her mouth is doing something else - and she wants her fans to do the same. Remember when she was vomiting on stage while her voice kept coming crystal clear on her "never lip-sync" live (ahem) show?
Pollstar recently published their Top 100 Mid-Year Tour of 2013 and Lady Gaga appears at the 36th place with the 18 shows she performed this year before canceling the rest of her tour.
Let’s break down the numbers and talk facts:
Those 18 shows grossed $19,7 million and attracted 179,646 fans. That’s an average of 9,980 people per show and average gross revenue of $1,094,400.
9,980 people per show average on the 18 shows performed in the US and Canada!
Remember: the other 22 shows that she canceled, according to numbers revealed by Billboard, had sold average 9,090 tickets per show - which equal to only 50% of the tickets available.
Perfect timing to get “injured" and be forced to cancel a tour.
Despite using her own social network to announce and promote her new single, album, and app, besides her 38 million Twitter followers and I-don’t-know-how-many Facebook “likes", Lady Gaga managed to DECLINE on Billboard’s Social 50 chart this week.
Yes. You read that right.
Shouldn’t she be climbing up on the Social 50 chart right now? After all, Forbes considers her a powerful celebrity because of her social network power. But when even after a long-waited announcement (like her new album) can’t stop her from DROPPING a few positions, you know such “power" is just bullshit.
Products on the clearance rack of stores, her only perfume discontinued, the announcement of ARTPOP failing to increase the buzz surrounding herself… Mama hood rat girl will have to WERK for real this year! She’d better thaw that meat dress for her VMA red carpet moment, and come out of an egg in her performance again. You see, if Born This Way turned out the way it did at a time the world was not tired of her… I can’t imagine how FARTPOOP will do now that she’s not as popular…
