I keep seeing articles about Miley Cyrus popping up. Apparently she has a new song out (I haven't heard it; the last "new" song I heard from her was "I Can't Be Tamed" which I thought was decent).
Now she will have her own documentary:
Miley Cyrus Documentary Will Dive Deep On MTV This Fall
For much of the past year, Miley Cyrus fans have had to make do with tiny peeks into the recording process for her upcoming album.
But this fall will bring a much deeper dive into all things Miley, with a revealing one-hour MTV documentary produced by the award-winning MTV News and Docs team. The film follows Cyrus as she works on the album and delves deep into the transformation she has experienced over the past few years.
The show follows in the footsteps of similar enlightening documentaries that have featured the likes of such superstars as Lady Gaga, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Brittney Spears and most recently, Demi Lovato.
Producer Pharrell, who gushed about Cyrus' Southern charm and hospitality to MTV, has promised that the year of work he's put in with his "lil sis" is just the start of even bigger things to come for Cyrus.
"It's just gonna sound like her and her influences, but it's not that hip-hop heavy," Pharrell said of the full body of work, which will include features from Wiz Khalifa and maybe French Montana. "That's not what she does, that's not where she comes from. It's a part of what she loves, which is a very big difference."
The biggest look we've gotten so far of the album is the Mike Will Made It-produced tune "We Can't Stop," the twerk-tastic single that has blown up the charts and launched countless memes, including the trippy, sound-less remix of the video.
"Like the song says, we can love who we want. I'm really free about the way I feel and who I am," Cyrus explained during a California media blitz in June. "Of course, I want people to love my music, but it's like, at the end of the day I make music for me. I make music 'cause I love it and I know, like I said, I put good energy into it. I want to make this song the biggest song in the world."
