Marilyn Monroe and Madonna

Even though I have said I get tired of the Marilyn Monroe and Madonna comparisons (which are very obvious) it would still be good to have a thread to document those photos.

Also because her birthday was two days ago (June 1st).

For now, I will say that Marilyn Monroe was a successful actress and became a se.x symbol during the time she was alive.

Madonna's fans think that Madonna "pushed" se.x boundaries when I don't think she did. These may not be the attention seeking photos Madonna took but Marilyn had many photos that are considered provocative in a way.

And I think it's copying if a photo seemed to be replicated detail for detail.

Notice that Marilyn was wearing a cone bra (underneath her blouse) before Madonna was.




I've seen this photo being "re-created" by Madonna (where it is exactly the same).



This one looks familiar to me. It could be from a poster of that stupid Truth or Dare documentary Madonna made in 1994. I'm not sure though...
