Most of the stuff in this thread will come directly from my site. Now that Madonna is not as popular as she used to be, she needs to latch on to more popular people to get her name in news articles and to remain relevant. Plus, she uses it to appeal to younger people, which has failed, as no teen wants to watch an unappealing 80-year-old lady strip and dance.

This article/information was written by Adam. Nicki Minaj, MIA and LMFAOFor MDNA, Madonna needed to appeal to a younger audience. She knew she had to look young and cool. Someone who is aware of what's popular and what's not popular. After all, how else would she be able to sell albums without the help of the top artists and musicians? Nicki Minaj: She's one of the most popular artists, Nicki Minaj has been featured in so many songs (some which have become hits) that it's no surprise Madonna added her to her album. Madonna probably thought that a young and refreshing artist performing with an old and wrinkly hag would boost sales. But that quickly proved to be wrong as almost none of the 114 million (or Nicki Minaj fans) were interested in hearing Madonna's awful voice. I wonder how much Madonna paid Nicki to collaborate with her? Surely it would take a lot of money to convince anyone to kiss Madonna and pretend to like it... LMFAO: Though long forgotten now, LMFAO dominated the charts in 2011 with their two #1 singles, "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I Know It". And that's exactly what Madonna needed. Another #1 hit to prove to the world that she can still be young, hip, fun, and up-to-date with pop culture. Embarrassingly enough, not even the LMFAO "Party Rock Remix" saved "Give Me All Your Luvin'" from flopping on the charts. For now, let's let the old lady try to dance shuffle (which was a dance craze at the time) so that she can pretend she's cool enough to appeal to a younger audience. MIA: Never heard of her to be honest... But she doesn't seem to be that well known. She only caused outrage from Madonna and the media when she flipped everyone off on TV. Maybe she was controversial before and Madonna thought it would be good publicity? Who knows. I don't feel like researching her.

This article/information was written by me. ;D PsyIn an attempt to keep up with the trends, and get the attention of young people. Madonna decided to bring Psy onstage at the New York show of her MDNA Tour. Psy was an artist who was very popular at the time due to the success of his smash, worldwide hit, "Gangnam Style." This song was popular due to its catchy K-Pop electro sound and the funny dance that Psy does in the video became a pop culture phenomenon. So sad. A 54-year old woman who is considered among her fans to be "revolutionizing" and "full of ideas" has reduced herself to grinding and bumping with someone younger and more popular than her. Even more pathetic is her need to expose her underwear. But that's nothing new. Madonna is an expert in removing her clothes to get attention. Honestly. When was the last time Madonna had an influence on pop culture? The late-nineties? Early nineties? Mid-eighties?

Don't forget about her question 'Have you seen molly?" which was slammed by many DJs. There is also failed attempt to invite Gaga to sing with her. She also sampled some of her songs on MDNA ablum. She thought that young people will like it if she would copy some music liked by teenagers.

Maybe she was controversial before and Madonna thought it would be good publicity? Who knows. I don't feel like researching her. She wasn't very popular before. She makes alternative eletronic music. When I first time heard her song 'Jimmy' I thought it was just a normal woman without talent who fell in love with some Jimmy and even made a song and video to show how much she loves him. Later when I saw she released another song 'Paper planes' I knew she's a singer. I don't think she was controversial.

For the drug things, it's funnyhow the Madonsters say Gaga is teaching her fans the wrong message about drugs. Madonna went on stage and talked about looking for drugs (the Molly) and how it makes music better if youre trippin on it. Gaga has never said anything about drugs making things better. She has done drugs but its dumb how Madonna is praised for negative things and Gaga slammed for basically doing nothing.

Her trying to be cool to teens seemed to have failed.

Oh and there was also Superboring Halfnaked Show, rip off from Kylie. Before it no one heard about her in 2009-2012 years. Seems like releasing singles is not enough for her to stay popular.

In the early 90's, when Madonna's career was going down the toilet because of her Whore-otica album, she copied Sinéad O'Connor and used Sinéad to get her name into the media. Sinéad originally ripped a photo of the Pope and said, "fight the real enemy!" and this created a lot of controversy and media attention. Madonna then ripped a photo of Joey Buttafuoco and said "fight the real enemy." Being the big hypocrite liar that she is, Madonna then attacked Sinéad's performance. POP VIEW; Why Sinead O'Connor Hit a NerveHypocrite: Why is Madonna upset about another entertainer defaming images that might mean a lot to people? Is she upset that someone is taking the spotlight from her? Isn't this the same woman who poked fun at Catholicism (with the crosses/religious imagery)? The same woman who rubbed the flag of another country on her crotch? They think that Madonna just said those things to get some attention (since nobody cared for her during this time). This section talks about how se.x was becoming more prominent in society during this time. And I agree. I still don't see how Madonna's "Justify My Lies" and "Whore-otica" were considered "iconic." I could see why they were controversial, but honestly, sexual boundaries were being pushed way before Madonna.

Well, so much for Madonna being "the most drug-free" pop artist. Though it is pathetic in a way.

Add Macklemore to this list since she is rumored to perform with him at the Granny Awards. Hag is desperate for another hit with a more popular artist.
