- So what? Cher has been around for 40+ years and her album went to #3 on the US Charts. Her biggest hit was 30 years into her career. She also had a high grossing tour many years into her career. Didn't David Bowie release a new album last year? Bruce Springsteen has been around for a while and his tour had a higher attendance than the MDNA Tour. Lionel Ritchie has also been around for 30 years and his last album outsold MDNA...

I admit that her older tours may have been copied by other artists but her recent tours are in no way iconic. Her fans think that everything she does is iconic. She could pee on the side of a road and her fans will praise her and call it "iconic." Anyways, Cher wore some fashions before Madonna did. Even Madonna's "iconic" outfits were rip-offs or unoriginal. Her 80's look was stolen from Boy George, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Joel, Maripol and from the underground punk-rock scene. Her cone bra was taken from the 50's, where Marylin Monroe popularized that style of bra. Her late 90's spiritual look was stolen from Gwen Stefani. 50% of her Confessions of an Old Whore looks were Rafaella Carra rip-offs.
