Madonna and Sezen Aksu

I think it's a great example of an artist doing something before her (using chirping birds in the intro). 

Madonna fans think that Madonna created everything and if Gaga were to use chirping birds in a song, they would call her a copycat. 

Of course, even though it can be proven Madonna "borrowed" this idea from Sezen, her idiot fans would say it was an "inspiration" and not a rip-off.
